About Waheed
Built for brands that refuse to compromise.

Our Founding Story
It started when the founding team received messages from organisations looking for fully Shariah-compliant marketing services. That's when they realised there was a lack of truly halal alternatives to mainstream marketing—alternatives that don't compromise the principles, modesty, or peace of mind of halal business and organisation founders and operators, while still helping them achieve meaningful brand growth.
More than simply serving the community through their technical expertise, the people at Waheed see it as an opportunity for da'wah—a way to demonstrate that brands can grow, create meaningful impact, and achieve success without compromising their faith and values.
The Gap in Halal Industry Marketing
We see it time and time again: websites that failed to convert because they didn’t offer a simple experience that helped their audience find the answers they needed. Content that lacked clear positioning because teams thought speaking to everyone was the best approach. Growth strategies that felt disconnected from their values—and, eventually, from barakah—because they forced halal brand founders to compromise their integrity for the sake of sales.
And we want to change that.
The People Behind Waheed
Waheed was founded by two experienced professionals with backgrounds in technology and marketing. The two first met when they were hired by the same halal advertising agency, where they sharpened their expertise in their respective fields.
Ashraf Waheed Ansari
Founder
Technology & Strategy
Ashraf spent his early career at a tech company led by non-Muslims, where he was dismissed after experiencing Islamophobic discrimination. By the Mercy of Allah, he was granted another means of earning rizq at a halal advertising agency, where he started as a web developer. He eventually progressed to technical lead and ad operations, and those two years of experience—building products and understanding how advertising actually functions—gave him a deep, practical understanding of user experience and Muslim consumer behaviour.
Bint Khan
Managing Partner
Marketing & Operations
Bint Khan started her career looking for work that wouldn’t force her to compromise her Islamic principles. She was hired as a social media manager at the same halal advertising agency and eventually went on to work as a digital marketing professional at a large Islamic fintech organisation. Through those two years of experience, she learned to recognise what actually earns trust online—audience psychology, halal-compliant content, and the small creative decisions that determine whether a Muslim audience feels spoken to or spoken at.
The Values We Stand For
“Growth is not the goal. Growth with Barakah is — the one that never costs your integrity.”
